Domus is a residential design-build firm providing new construction, substantial renovations, additions, and remodeling services to homeowners seeking the highest quality. They service the Upper Valley region in New Hampshire and Vermont. Owners Wendy and Bill Williamson requested a portfolio driven website that would provide readers access to all of their galleries on every page. This was accomplished using gallery links on a multi-page sidebar and segmenting galleries by project and room type. On page search engine optimization was improved with informational pages that provide details on construction financing, explains the design-build process and highlights location in the community service pages.

The website design for Domus is one of the few we built for a local client. The homepage design has top navigation and sidebar navigation. It also has a large inset banner image and three image-based calls to actions designed to get visitors to the most essential interior pages on the site.

The portfolio page has a gallery block placed on a regular page. This is our preferred method for creating galleries as it allows for additional content blocks on a page whereas Squarespace gallery pages do not. The services page features a large image at the top of the page with two columns of copy. Using two columns reduces eye fatigue for the reader. Frequently Asked Questions pages are less popular today but they can be helpful to your prospects, and they provide an opportunity to improve a websites SEO.
